Do you have a few hours or a few days to spare? Our Maintenance Supervisor, Bob, could use some help with a project or two around the church! He would really appreciate as little or as much as you can share. Click the image below to see an update on the projects going on and what he could use some help with.
If you've been wanting to serve in a ministry during Mass, we invite you to join the ministries where we have the greatest need. We are currently recruiting ushers, audio & visual (A/V) operators, and altar servers (4th grade and above) for all Masses. We also have a great need for Sacristans and PRAYground ministers during the Sunday Masses. If you are interested in serving in any of these ministries, please fill out the Ministry Opportunities Form below. If you have questions, please contact Maria Hagan ([email protected]).
Are you interested in becoming a minister? Fill out the Ministry Interest Form and we will be in touch with you to get you started!

Did you know that St. EAS has a monthly ministry to assist in feeding others in our community? The Catholic Worker House depends on monthly meals from the St. EAS Homeless Shelter Meal Teams to help serve the families in their homeless shelter, who are mostly women and children.
Currently, we need additional volunteers to build up the teams. The commitment is easy! Volunteers are placed on a team that provides three meals during the year. Each member is asked to donate one or more items on the ingredients list, during the month they're responsible for. All items are dropped off at St. EAS. A volunteer collects the items and prepares and delivers the meal to the Catholic Worker House on the first Saturday of the month.
If you are interested in sharing in this beautiful and much-needed ministry, please contact Kathy Lester (319-393-3778).
We are creating a new ministry to help the growing need in the homeless community. This ministry is striving to form at least six teams of 10 parishioners each to provide nourishing food and snack items for the homeless. Each group will meet once a month, twice a year, to fill 100-gallon-size plastic bags with non-perishable food and snack items purchased by the group. These bags will be given to the Willis Dady Center to hand out to the homeless.
If you would like to sign up for this ministry or create your own team of 10 people, please sign up at the link below. For more information please call or text Sara Kane at (319) 929-3786 or Maize Micek at (319) 383-3405.
Community support makes a huge difference when facing hardships and life transitions such as illness, cancer treatments, natural disasters, caring for elderly parents or having a new baby.
We're excited to offer a new ministry where volunteers donate meals and groceries to support members of our community in those situations. If you're feeling called to help NOURISH members of our community, we'd love to have you as part of this ministry! As a volunteer, you'll have a choice of responding to requests as your schedule allows.
